Ways to Get Involved
Join Us as a Tree Warden
Tree Wardens help promote and care for trees within their local communities. Activities may include tree walks, planting projects, tree watering, woodland management and helping raise awareness about local trees and green spaces.
Volunteer as an Occasional Helper
If you cannot commit regularly, you can still support the group by helping occasionally at events, tree planting activities, walks or community projects.
What You Can Help With
- Tree planting and aftercare
- Watering newly planted trees
- Supporting community orchards
- Helping with tree walks and talks
- Woodland and habitat management
- Promoting awareness of local trees and biodiversity
- Helping at community and environmental events
No Specialist Knowledge Needed
Many members simply begin with an interest in trees and the environment. Knowledge and confidence often develop naturally through experience, activities and working with other volunteers.
Solihull Tree Wardens also work alongside other regional Tree Warden groups and environmental organisations, providing opportunities to learn more about trees, wildlife and conservation.
